StorySide manages global audiobook distribution with Bookwire

Frankfurt am Main, September 28, 2020 – StorySide, the international publishing arm of Swedish streaming provider Storytel, is using the Frankfurt digital experts for global distribution of its audiobook catalogue. The comprehensive agreement gives the business access to Bookwire’s global distribution network and allows it to manage distribution of the StorySide title catalogue via Bookwire OS.

The cooperation between Bookwire and StorySide, which came into effect on 1 August 2020, covers the international audiobook catalogue of currently several thousand audiobook titles in over 20 languages.

The audiobook titles from the international StorySide catalogue will be globally available in all relevant audiobook shops by the end of 2020. The Swedish business, with its evergrowing range of audiobooks, is already making the most of Bookwire’s comprehensive range of services for the first titles.

StorySide individually manages global distribution for its multilingual catalogue with scalable and automated processes, via Bookwire OS. Bookwire Analytics tools enable StorySide to gain insights into the performance of the catalogue or individual titles at any time, and the business is also able to use the marketing services in Bookwire OS to boost sales and visibility.

"For us, Bookwire OS is the best software solution for the complex requirements of our audiobook catalogue. Both in terms of handling and effectiveness, this "one-stop solution" is ideal for our very different titles. The distribution network that Bookwire offers worldwide has the reach to make our catalogue available internationally in the best possible way,” says Helena Gustafsson, Chief Content Strategy Officer of Storytel AB and CEO of StorySide AB.

“The cooperation with StorySide is a great example of how flexibly Bookwire OS allows us to meet the broad spectrum of needs of major international publishers. Our solution is a comprehensive “software as a service” offer that grows with the requirements of our customers who are looking for efficiency, scalability and high performance in the field of digital publishing. As an international business, Bookwire also has a network that enables us to take care of all aspects of distribution for customers such as StorySide, using both global players and strong local traders”, explains Jens Klingelhöfer, CEO of Bookwire GmbH.
