ElevenLabs and Bookwire sign publishing partnership

We're excited to announce a partnership with ElevenLabs to connect our wide catalog of ebooks to ElevenLabs' leading AI platform and ElevenReader app.

Bookwire is an internationally leading technology provider in the digital publishing sector. Based in Frankfurt, the company serves thousands of publishers in producing and distributing ebooks, audiobooks, podcasts, and other digital publishing products.

Together, ElevenLabs and Bookwire are introducing ebooks available for this model from the catalogs of Bookwire’s publishing clients - bringing titles that were previously available only in text to life through dynamic narration. These titles will be available in more than a dozen languages including English, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Arabic, Polish, French, and German.

Only about 5% of published books exist in audio today - and the proportion is even smaller in less common languages. This initiative gives publishers a new digital revenue stream while making their catalogs accessible through dynamic narration to listeners worldwide. These books will be available in the ElevenReader app, advancing our commitment to make content available in any language and any voice.

“At Bookwire, we are driven by one clear goal: to help publishers achieve maximum reach and success for their titles worldwide,” said John Ruhrmann, Co-CEO and Co-Founder of Bookwire. “Innovation and the intelligent use of new technologies are essential to that commitment. Through our partnership with ElevenLabs, publishers who choose this model can now access a powerful new route into the global audio market. We are proud to join forces with one of the most innovative and advanced Voice AI companies, combining ElevenLabs’ groundbreaking AI technology with Bookwire’s expertise in digital distribution. Together, we are redefining how books travel across languages, formats, and borders.”
