Bookwire & Holtzbrinck publishers – cooperation on international distribution of the eBook catalogue

Frankfurt, 25th July 2017 – Holtzbrinck publishers and Frankfurt digital services provider Bookwire have entered into cooperation on distribution of Holtzbrinck publishers’ eBook catalogue. Bookwire is now responsible for positioning around 12,000 titles from four publishers, in shops outside the EU.

The cooperation involves all four publishing firms under the umbrella of Holtzbrinck publishers:

S. Fischer Verlage, Droemer Knaur, Rowohlt Verlag and Kiepenheuer & Witsch.

Bookwire is responsible for international distribution outside the EU for these publishers’ approximately 12,000 titles.  Shops supplied by Bookwire include international market leaders Amazon, Apple, Barnes & Noble and Kobo, as well as eBook shops with greater significance in individual countries, such as Gardners, Perú eBooks, Siglo del Hombre, Tagus Books and many others.

According to Jens Klingelhöfer, CEO of Bookwire GmbH, “international distribution of eBook catalogues is an increasingly important business segment for publishers  because tapping into new markets offers the opportunity to generate new and additional proceeds. We are delighted that Holtzbrinck publishing group is now also relying on Bookwire’s competence and experience”.
